I...I...I...

I...I...I...I...I...

I'm speechless.

Pretty good

I started playing this game when I was 15, after I had bought my gamecube and got that amazing zelda compilation with it. (Nintendo was genius for doing that.) Out of all of the games on that disc, this one made me the most frustrated. Unlike the other games, Zelda 2 seemed to be set on making it very, very hard for me to finish. I loved it.

I spent a lot of time listening to this song through. I gave you a 4 as review because, well, first of all the song is just a tad soft. I'd like to hear it a bit harder. Not like hard techno or anything, but just enough to give me a really good reason to listen to it. Something to give it a pulse. I know there are probably a few slip ups in there somewhere, but my ear isn't good enough to pick them out and, frankly, I don't care. As remakes go, this is 'bout as good as it gets. You did a superb job, especially since it was done from ear. With a bit of practice and a little more time, I think you're going to be something special.

Spent a lot of time here...

But this song never wore on me. This was my first video game ever, and I like the nostalgia this gives me. This would work a lot better as a loop, because it ends so abrubtly.

I remeber...

I used to pretty much play this game religiously back when I was eight and obssessed with this movie...and Dinosaurs in general. You have brought me back to my childhood.

This is also nice, because one of my major complaints is that a song doesn't hit hard enough. This song hits hard, it's touch, rough, and beautiful all at once. I can feel this song in my chest. It's nice. Sounds great in my car.

Gario responds:

Glad you like it, there. I think we all loved the song in our childhood (if you played the game, anyway), so I'm glad you liked this rendition. Difficult to improve on a classic, if you know what I mean.

Woah my god.

This is a very good song, and this is a very good remix. I'm vastly impressed. I don't think there's much else you could do to this without ruining the mood. Maybe it being a bit longer. Still, good stuff you have here.

Here's the thing.

You have two different beats through this song that don't really fit together. These two sounds don't meld well, and so you're kind of forced to listen to one or the other. It does get a ton better when you throw in the orchestra. That raised the song to a higher level. Then the super-quick keyboard solo took that away again. You need to find that nirvania in there--the balance. However, it wasn't a horrible song...not terrible in any way. Just...mediocre. You can do better than this.

guitaraddict4791 responds:

thanks man. Like i said, I tried to blend my 3 fave genres. Separate, they do fine. Just like everyone else, there's some things I'm not good at. I've got another song in the works that I'll put up in a while tho.

Oh, man, now this gets my creative juices flowing.

I could totally write a story to this. I like it. You have two clashing sounds that also meld into one another. One sounds a tad more vicious--the dark, I assume--and the other is a bit more constant and soft--I'm saying that would be the light. It all turns into this beautiful, science-fiction-meets-the-old-west kind of stuff. Brilliant.

Cetaphobic responds:

Yep, you're pretty much right. Glad you like it!

Now...That's some Bass

My ears are bleeding, but it's a good thing. That bass is what makes the song.

Gasping like a fish out of water...

This is really good. Very intese and kind of fiery. Good stuff.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Thank you!

Unlike some people...

I find that this songs inability to really fit into a set genre is a pretty swell thing. I really liked this--enough to download and favorite it--and think it deserves a bit of praise. Now, there is a part of me that wishes this song got a bit more hard hitting at points, but that's such a small part. This matrix qoutes are really tight, really well fitting with the rest of the song. There's a lot that could have gone wrong with this, but it managed to hold itself together. Don't worry about minor complaints of maggots, only worry about how to better perfect your art.

Archangel-Briggs responds:

Genre issues seem to happen for every song I create, with very few really fitting into to specific genres. Thank you for your review :)

Listen--Movies are my number one passion. I love movies so much. If I could, I would make love to movies. I do not, however, love Uwe Boll films. Uwe Boll can suck my massive veiny cock. I love video games, and have a saracastic sense of humor.
